Product -Pyrolytic Boron Nitride(PBN)

BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO PBN

     PBN is a kind of high temperature ceramic material, which is produced by chemical vapor deposition technique in a special equipment in our laboratory. PBN is an opaque white non -toxic, non -porous and easily machined material offering a unique combination of mechanical, thermal, chemical, electrical properties.  So applications for PBN abound in such areas as avionics, electronics, electrical, chemical, exotic metallurgy and pharmaceutical.

       PBN has high dielectric strength  known, excellent high temperature strength, anisotropic  thermal conductivity, out- standing microwave and infrared transmission.

 

PROPERTIES  OF  PBN

  Lattice parameters:  a0=0.2504nm     c0=0.6692nm

  Apparent Density : Plates    2.10-2.15g/cc  Crucible   2.15-2.1.9g/cc

  Gas permeability (Helium)               <10-10

  Micro-hardness (Knoop hardness) ab plane    70.6kg/mm2 

  Modulus of elasticity: 2405kg/mm2

  Thermal Shock resistance:  20000C into water no crack

  Specific heat  calg  K  at    2000C  0.371   at    9000C  0.442

  Heat conductivity

  a  direction c  direction
2000C 0.6000w/cm K 0.0260w/cm K
9000C  0.4370w/cm K 0.0280w/cm K

   No oxidation<1000 detectable weight  loss at 12500C Not attacked by acids  alkaline Salts (RT)

Dielectric strength at  Room Temperature     56000V/mm 

 

RESULTS OF APPLICATION OF PBN IN DIFFERENT AREAS

  • In molecular beam epitaxy
    world acceptable good result was obtained When cell was to get beam source in preparation of GaAs and other single crystalline films

  •  In insite synthesis of  mono-crystal GaAS, InP, GaPetc

  • Coating on graphite substrate

  • Coating on Silica crucible and boats
